KBB celebrates 60 years of turbocharger production in Bannewitz

On Friday, 5th July 2013 the company Kompressorenbau Bannewitz – short KBB – invited to an Open Day on its facility areas in Bannewitz near Dresden. The Open Day was part of the festive weekend at the occasion of 60 years turbochargers in Bannewitz.

Approximately 1000 guests attended and were familiarized with KBB’s facilities and range of products.

The following areas were open:

  • the manufacturing halls
  • the open hall, new since June 2012 for receipt and dispatch of goods assembly and pre-assembly, paint shop and repair workshop as well as high-bay warehouse and
  • the turbocharger test center (TTC)

In the new hall was built up a turbocharger presentation which showed former turbocharger series and the newest development of 2stage turbocharging.

The visitors were also interested in the new entry situated at the Windbergstraße, the renovated big hall, the open-plan office for the engineering department and the changes at the office building with integrated elevator for an easy access to all areas.

Even the culinary well-being was organized. A regional bakery congratulated with an extra for KBB manufactured Chocolate-Cream-Cake and a lot of other cakes.
